On Camera Class

Workshop.MOV’s On Camera Class (not available for You.MOV private lessons) is uniquely curated to help young students start learning the nuances of dancing in front of a lens. The audience is now seeing them perform from an ever-changing and close-up perspective, quite unlike what they are used to on big competition stages. We demonstrate some of the possibilities that are unlocked when the audience gets to “dance” with them through the videographer’s eyes, and teach them how to move with a specific quality that will translate onto a screen. Our faculty members have experience dancing, choreographing, directing, and filming for many types of digital projects (movies, television, music videos, social media assets, televised live performances, & commercials), so they know how to get students looking their best with knowledge from both in front of and behind the camera.
