Emily Jo Jordan is the proud founder and director of .MOV Mentorship. She started developing her love of movement and creativity growing up as a competitive dancer in Minnesota. Immediately after graduating high school, Emily was accepted onto the EDGE PAC Scholarship Program and moved straight to Los Angeles to pursue her career.

As a professional dancer, Emily has worked on major movie and television projects such as Paramount Pictures’ musical adaptation of “Mean Girls,” “This Is Us” on NBC, and the Netflix original “He’s All That.” She has had the honor of performing both live and onscreen for artists such as Avril Lavigne, Faouzia, Alex Warren, New Jeans, Miyavi Ishihara, Mothica, and Tito Rey, as well as companies including Riot Games and SHEIN. Emily’s skills have also been utilized in skeleton crews for “Gatsby” on Broadway, Paula Abdul’s Magic Summer Tour, Mattel’s Barbie, AESPA, Cat’s Eye, Dillion Francis, Evan Gia, and Illenium.

You can find Emily’s professional choreographic work in live shows like the League of Legends 2023 Opening Ceremony and Horror Camp the Musical, as well as in music videos for Faouzia, KO aka Koala, and Ira Wolf. She is also the co-owner of EmKat Creative: a production company offering specialties in everything from dance to creative direction.

“My classes are a place for students to work hard and leave feeling proud of what they’ve accomplished both physically and mentally. I like to build clear musicality and storytelling moments into my choreography, so I encourage dancers to make the movement their own by adding individualized movement quality and character choices while staying true to the steps.” - Emily Jo Jordan
