Billy Mustapha

Billy was born and raised in Calgary, Canada, where he began dancing at age 7. In high school, Billy trained with both Universesoul Hip Hop Company and O2 Dance Company’s Sarah Dolan. He also began working as a convention assistant for some of the top choreographers in the industry, including Megan Lawson, Jillian Meyers, Tina Landon, Nick Lanzisera, Tyce Diorio, Luther Brown, and Kelly Konno. After graduating high school, Billy took a plunge into Vancouver’s professional dance scene by joining The Intensive Training Program at Harbour Dance Centre, as well as TwoFourSeven Hip Hop Company.

In his professional career, Billy has danced in movies including Disney’s “Descendants 3,” “Freaky Friday,” and “Beauty and the Beast: A 30th Celebration.” He can also be found onscreen in TV shows such as ABC’s “Once Upon A Time,” CW’s “Riverdale” and “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow,” NBC’s “Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist,” Freeform’s “Motherland: Fort Salem,” and The 95th & 96th Academy Awards. Billy has also had the pleasure of dancing alongside artists like Paula Abdul, Doja Cat, Tate McRae, Jackson Wang, and Sleeping At Last.

Creatively, Billy has had the opportunity to work in movement direction and choreography for projects like FX’s “American Horror Story,” Disney’s “Hollywood Stargirl,” Apple’s “Vertical Cinema” and “The Stuntman” Commercial, Warner Bros’ “Star Struck: A Cinderella Story,” Nat Jay’s “Sleep,” Kiccc’s “Kings and Princes,” Hulu’s “Fresh,” and Riotron’s “Life is What We’re Living.”
